The Importance of Remaining Silent- Part 2

People asked Hazrath Isa(Alai) for a way or deed that would enable them to go to heaven. He(Alai) replied," never ever speak". They replied that this would not be possible. So he(alai) said," speak only about good things and nothing else".

An individual who remains silent has 2 advantages:
  • 1. His faith in Allah remains alive.
  • 2. He understands what others tell him.

Prophet(sal) has said: " When a person awakes in the morning, the different parts of the body warn the body and say that think about us and be scared of Allah because we are connected with you and if you remain straight we will also remain straight, but if you deviate we will also deviate".

It is true if the tongue remains straight and is used to say good things then the whole body will benefit from this not only in this world but also in the hereafter, and if the tongue deviates for e.g. if it is used to abuse, insult, backbite, lie, and to create misunderstandings amongst others then sometimes because of this the other parts of the body face humilation in the form of being beaten up by other people and finally on the Day of Judgement be punished.

Hazrath Ibrahim bin Maisarah(Rali) has said that those individual who like to take part in vulgar/obscene conversation, on the Day of Judgement will come with their faces as those of dogs. Nabi(Sal) said "Entry to heaven is banned for that individual who uses foul language while conversing with others".

Those young people who have the habit of unnecessary vulgar discussions on the topic of marriage life just to satisfy their lust, or those who enjoy listening to such conversation, those who have the habit of using dirty language and those who likes watching films and dramas (which include vulgar/obscene dialogues and scenes) all such people should feel scared of the wrath of Allah.

Some people will be taken to hell, there will be a smell coming out of their mouths and will spread around the hell, it will be so bad that the other people in hell will ask who are these people? They will get a reply that these are those unlucky individuals who used to use vulgar sentences in their conversation and they fond of visiting those places where obscenity was the main topic of discussion.
