Three Common Mistakes made after Prayer Short Description: Three Common Mistakes made after Prayer are part of the great book of shaikh Mash-hoor Hasan Salmaan (Al-Fasl-ul-Mubeen Fee Akhtaa-il-Musalleen). 1. Greeting and Shaking Hands after Prayer: [1] Abu Hurairah ( radyAllaahu 'anhu ) reported that the Prophet ( sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam ) said : "If one of you meets his brother, then he should greet him with Salaam. Then if a tree or a wallor a rock should come between the two of them and then he meets him again, he should greet him with Salaam again." [2] In this hadeeth, the Prophet ( sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam ) has commanded the Muslims, when any of them encounters his Muslim brother to greet him with Salaam. This is because of what the greeting consists of from the growth of unity, eradication of hatred and the bringing about of love. The command in this hadeeth is only a recommendation, meaning it is strongly advised and encouraged, and not oblig...

The Magnificence of Tahajjud Salaat

The Magnificence of Tahajjud Salaat It is said that: "For every good deed that an obedient slave and servant performs for the Pleasure of his Glorious Creator and Sustainer - Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, the reward for it is specified in the Most Holy and Glorious Qur'an. Except for the regular performance of Tahajjud Salaat which commands an unusually high reward on account of its great worth, the reward is only known to Rahmathul Liel Ala'meen." Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala tells us about those who forsake the comfort of their warm beds in His Remembrance in verses 16 and 17 of Surah Sajda: "They forsake their beds of sleep, while they call on their Lord, in fear and hope. And they spend (in charity) out of the sustenance which We have bestowed on them." "Now no person knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them - as a reward for their good deeds." Men and women "breathless with adoration" shu...

Importance of Friday

Image
Every Muslim should prepare for Jum'ah from Thursday. After Asr on Thursday one should increasingly read Istighfaar etc. That person shall obtain the most benefit of Jum'ah who awaits it and prepares for it from Thursday. Rasulallah ( S.A.W . ) has said : " The best day of the week that the sun rises on, is the day of Jum'ah." The night of Jum'ah (the night between Thursday and Friday ) is more blessed and the day of Jum'ah is most blessed. Friday is the best among all days. Friday is an Eid for the Believers. Adam (R.A.) was created on Friday, He was granted entrance into Jannah on Friday, He was descended onto Earth on Friday, He died on Friday, Qiyaamah will also take place on Friday. Among the seven days of the week, Friday is the day when Allah's special mercies are granted. It is a day of gathering for the Muslims and rewards are increased. Many great events took place on this day, and yet take place. Hazrat Abu Saeed kh u dri (R.A.) says that Ra...

The Perfect Believer

Bismillaah innal hamdulillaah was salaatu was salaamu `alaa rasoolillaah wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een, wa ba'd... as salaamu `alaykunna wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh- The Perfect Believer Imaam Ibn ul Jawzee Translated from Sayd ul-Khatir, p. 364 Translator is unknown ------------------------------------------------------- The believer is not one who performs the ordained religious duties superficially and avoids what is forbidden only, but he is one whose faith is absolute, with no objection whatsoever arising in his heart and no obsession dwelling in his soul. The more hardships he faces, the more his faith grows and the more his submission strengthens. He could pray and not see a trace of an answer to his prayers, yet he does not change because he knows that he is owned by One who deals with him in whatever way He chooses. For if an objection was to arise in his heart, he then forsakes the role of the slave and takes on the role of a protester such as that of Iblees (the...
